PIRADOBIS

IGT RED WINE MARCA TREVIGIANA - VINIFIED AND REFINED IN TERRACOTTA

MERLOT FROM OVER-RIPE GRAPES, RABOSO PIAVE AND PASSITO OF RABOSO PIAVE.

The name Piradobis comes from the transliteration of the Georgian word პირადობის which means IDENTITY.

he nomenclature is intended as a tribute to the homeland of terracotta winemaking as well as the cradle of world viticulture.

The hand-picked grapes placed into 6-kilogram boxes, undergo a process of over-ripening to concentrate all the substances contained therein.

Subsequently, the destemming-crushing takes place and the crushed grapes are placed in terracotta jars, an insulating and inert material.

It is precisely inside the jars that fermentation takes place with a maceration on the skins for 30 days, and then the subsequent aging, again in terracotta.

For us the jar is not just a container but an ideal concept of seeking a strong bond with the earth, a research that aims to respect the identity of the wine.
