Description
The Ombretta Merlot IGT Marca Trevigiana from Enotria Tellus is made from carefully selected Merlot grapes, grown on stony, medium-textured soils near the Piave River. Vinification takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperature with a 15-day maceration, followed by 7 months of aging: 50% in American oak tonneaux to impart spicy notes and roundness, and the remaining 50% in steel to preserve freshness and fruitiness. The process is completed with an additional month of bottle aging.
Visually, it presents a ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it releases a rich and enveloping bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is soft, velvety, and slightly tannic, with a long and pleasant finish.
